Job summary

The Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Floor Houseperson in Burbank to support the housekeeping team. You will assist room attendants with linens, transport supplies, and help keep public areas clean. This role requires physical stamina and lifting/moving items up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens.

• Clean designated areas and monitor supplies to minimize waste.
• Communicate with other departments to meet guest needs and requests.
• Respond to guest requests for housekeeping supplies and resolve complaints promptly.

The Hotel Amarano Burbank is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Floor Houseperson. The Floor Houseperson is responsible for assisting room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses/linens, removing dirty linens, transporting to laundry area, handling washing, folding and delivering fresh linens and other supplies to room attendants throughout the day. This important role also assists with cleaning public areas in addition to delivering and retrieving items for guests as requested.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and lines.
• Delivers linens and other supplies to room attendants.
• Removes all dirty linens from assigned room attendants carts and closets, transports to laundry.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of floor, closets, water and ice stations.
• Removes trash, wipes down shelves/counters, sweeps and waxes floor, removes non-floor closet items, and stores them in appropriate areas.
• Cleans other designated areas such as public restrooms, fixtures, storage areas, and other public areas for assigned floors.
• Monitors and controls supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all housekeeping areas.
• Communicates and collaborates with other departments to provide and receive insight about guest needs, requests, and complaints.
• Responds promptly and efficiently to guests requests such as delivery of housekeeping supplies (e.g. linens, cots, etc.)
• Responds to guest complaints and ensures corrective action is taken promptly to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Previous hotel Housekeeping experience and knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment is highly preferred.
• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms overhead to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and walk for the majority of your shift.
• Available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
