Job summary

Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, is seeking a facilities cleaner to maintain the community’s cleanliness and safety. The role involves operating carpet and floor care equipment, waste handling, and moving items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the community through operation of specialized equipment.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste.
• Utilize work orders to ensure proper room and furniture setups.
• Assist with movement and delivery of heavy objects and packages.
• Remove trash including refuse and recycling.
• Maintain hard and carpeted floor surfaces (scrubbing, mopping, waxing, extracting, drying, vacuuming).

What you will make an impact

• Maintain cleanliness of the community through the operation of specialized equipment
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste
• Utilize work orders to ensure proper room/furniture setups
• Assist with movement and delivery of heavy objects/packages
• Remove trash including, refuse and recycling
• Maintain hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, and waxing as well as carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming

What you will need

• Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques is preferred
• Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment, and any other equipment necessary for the cleanliness of the community
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member
• May be required to maintain a valid driver’s license as a condition of employment. Must have a history of safe driving as noted through a Motor Vehicle Record check, if driving is required
