Job summary

Trinity Health, Fort Lauderdale-based Holy Cross Hospital, is seeking a per diem Environmental Services Associate for evening shifts to maintain a sanitary environment in patient rooms and common areas.

The role involves daily cleaning procedures, trash and linen transport, and ensuring orderly spaces. Evening 3:00 pm–11:30 pm with a $1,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates, competitive pay, and opportunities for future full-time growth.

Description

This is a per diem (as needed) position. Schedules can be discussed with the hiring manager.

Job Summary

Performs daily cleaning procedures in patient rooms and other ancillary areas in the hospital including nursing stations, restrooms, offices, etc., utilizing various tools, equipment and chemicals to maintain a sanitary environment. Completes cleaning requests for check-outs and transfers on a daily basis. Responsible for collecting trash and soiled linen to transport to the appropriate storage area. Maintains furniture in patient rooms, offices, and other ancillary areas in an orderly fashion, and observes equipment, furniture, etc., and reports necessary repair or replacement. Maintains work areas, equipment, and supplies in a clean, safe and orderly manner.

Hours / Shifts Available (per diem, as-needed position with opportunity to become full-time)

Evening - 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm

What you will need

• Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate the ability to speak, read, comprehend, and write the English language.
• Ability to maintain frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, pushing or pulling and to lift at least 25 pounds.
