Job summary

Meyer Jabara Hotels in Bethlehem Township, PA is seeking a dedicated Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping team and deliver clean, comfortable rooms for our guests. You will ensure rooms and public areas are cleaned and sanitized to standards, with attention to linen, bedding and supplies, and you will follow safety procedures.

We value teamwork, reliability, and guest-focused service. This role requires standing and walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and adapting to a fast-paced hotel

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of hotel property, staff, services, hours, and surroundings.
• Ensure that rooms are stocked with soap, tissues, and supplies.
• Identify items guests leave behind and report per hotel procedures.

Essential Functions and Duties

• Ensure that rooms and public areas are cleaned and sanitized to company-mandated standards
• Ensure that rooms have clean linen, bedding, and towels
• Understand and follow all safety and security procedures as mandated by the hotel
• Maintain knowledge of hotel property, hotel staff, hotel services, hotel service hours of operation, and hotel surroundings (i.e., mall, restaurants)
• Ensure that rooms are stocked with soap, tissues, drinking glasses, etc.
• Identify items that guests have left behind and report items utilizing the hotel's lost and found procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Required Experience, Education, and Skills

• High school diploma/GED

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods standing and walking, and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending

This role requires medium work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. This role will require the ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach, while working under variable temperatures and noise levels, both outdoors and indoors, and around chemicals, fumes, odor hazards, dust and mite hazards.
