Job summary

Harraseeket Inn & Event House seeks a Housekeeping Manager in Freeport, ME to lead the housekeeping team, inspect guest rooms and public spaces, and report maintenance needs. The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and maintaining high cleanliness standards throughout the property.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• At least two years hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
• Continuous standing 90% of time; lifting up to 50 lbs; pushing up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays; reading/writing/oral proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rooms after cleaning to ensure cleanliness standards.
• Assist with changing bed linens and restocking room supplies; vacuuming and dusting.
• Report property damage to supervisor.
• Oversee a team of Housekeepers and Housepersons.
• Clean rooms occasionally or as needed; report left-behind guest properties.
• Maintain clean, organized workstations and equipment; ensure guest rooms meet hotel standards.
• Coordinate with staff to accommodate special guest needs and other duties as assigned.
