Job summary

The LINE DC is seeking a dynamic Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team in Washington, DC. You will oversee daily operations, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment.

Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, you will collaborate across departments, manage staffing levels, and drive exceptional service while upholding The LINE’s culture and brand in Adams Morgan and surrounding community.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Collaborative spirit.

• Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Opera PMS.

Responsibilities

• Maintain courteous, professional demeanor at all times.
• Establish and maintain effective communications with colleagues and other departments.
• Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and manuals.
• Maintain open-door communication with employees.
• Inspect rooms, public spaces, exteriors and back of house; adjust as needed.
• Notify Maintenance of rooms needing out-of-order status.
• Monitor housekeeping staff to ensure timely room cleaning.
• Brief associates on daily needs.
• Respond to guest complaints appropriately.
• Enforce service recovery guidelines for total guest satisfaction.
• Understand and operate the Property Management System.
• Schedule staff according to forecasted business and labor needs.
• Provide ongoing customer service, technical, and safety training for staff.
• Conduct routine inspections to uphold quality appearances.
• Supervise laundry operation or outsourced relationship.
• Monitor safety compliance across departments.
• Coordinate room availability with Front Office Manager.
• Develop performance reviews and recognize achievements.
• Keep current information on rates, packages, and promotions.
• Anticipate low occupancy periods and adjust staffing accordingly.
• Establish par levels for supplies and equipment.
• Process requisitions for shortages and planned needs.
• Ensure accuracy and standards of work per Executive Housekeeper.
