Job summary

NoMo SoHo, NYC, part of Crescent Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Housekeeping Manager. You will lead the housekeeping team to deliver spotless rooms, public areas, and guest experiences in a luxury boutique hotel in Manhattan.

This on-site role reports to the Executive Housekeeper and requires scheduling flexibility and strong guest service focus. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a similar hotel role, excellent communication and leadership skills, and comfort working in a unionized

Responsibilities

• Manage housekeeping staff to clean and maintain guest rooms and public areas to Crescent standards.

• Plan hotel-wide changes affecting amenities and communications.
• Oversee room attendants, housepersons and inspectors; conduct meetings and provide guidance.

This on-site position reports directly to the Executive Housekeeper.

Here is what you will be doing each day:

As a Housekeeping Manager, you'll be part of a great team of helpful people who are passionate about delivering exceptional service. The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for ensuring that the staff in the Housekeeping department cleans and maintains the guest rooms and public space areas in accordance with client/guest expectations and Crescent standards of product and service. This role takes part in servicing our guests around our beautiful Hotel. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in an extremely high level of guest satisfaction.

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

• Arranges staff work schedules, determining days off, insuring staffing levels are based on occupancy and/or any current or anticipated projects. Submits payroll records, correcting errors to ensure pay is on time and includes any purchased rooms, extra cleanup, cots, etc
• Assist room attendants and housepersons in securing all supplies and tools necessary for the completion of daily tasks.
• Plan and implement hotel-wide changes such as those affecting amenity set-ups or communication pieces.
• Oversees staff of room attendants, housepersons, and inspectors by conducting daily and monthly meetings, inspecting staff work and giving guidance so that deficiencies are corrected and standards are met.
• Other job-related duties as assigned based on business need.
