Job summary

Schweitzer is seeking an experienced housekeeping leader for a year-round, full-time role at Snowshoe. The position requires budgeting, staffing, and quality-control responsibilities to ensure resort standards and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include forecasting staffing, managing budgets, training staff, and coordinating with Maintenance and Front Desk to deliver seamless service. Equal opportunity employer; benefits after 30 days.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive housekeeping experience in hotel, resort or hospitality environments.
• 3+ years of management experience.
• Knowledge of housekeeping operations, budgeting, cost management, quality assurance, and guest experience.
• Experience recruiting, training, coaching and evaluating employees.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage monthly, weekly, and daily housekeeping forecasts to ensure proper staffing levels and operational efficiency.
• Administer and enforce Lost & Found procedures, ensuring all items are documented, secured, and returned per policy.
• Develop, manage, and maintain annual housekeeping budgets while ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Plan and continuously improve housekeeping strategies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct routine quality control inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and service areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance.
• Identify, document, and report damage, maintenance deficiencies, safety concerns, and follow up with Maintenance.
• Ensure all maintenance requests and work orders are recorded, tracked, and completed.
• Monitor inventory levels and oversee purchasing and usage of supplies and equipment.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and train housekeeping team members; provide coaching and evaluations.
