Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) Mayport NHG oversees housekeeping for properties with 150+ rooms, ensuring timely, high-quality service and efficient laundry operations. The manager directs staff, training, scheduling, inventory, and safety compliance for multiple locations.

The role includes budgeting, performance evaluations, and coordination with maintenance and front office to maintain NHG standards and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in administrative/technical or hotel/motel operations
• Knowledge of hotel/motel housekeeping practices and procedures
• Ability to supervise staff and manage budgets and payroll

Responsibilities

• Establishes and enforces NHG housekeeping and laundry policies and procedures
• Supervises housekeeping and laundry department staff
• Directs training programs and maintains training records
• Manages staffing levels and personnel actions
• Monitors productivity and staff performance
• Inspects guest rooms, public spaces, and laundry facilities for quality and maintenance
• Prepares reports and coordinates with maintenance and front office
• Develops and manages department budget and supply inventory
• Ensures OSHA/NAVOSH/NHG compliance and safety procedures
• Coordinates with NHG GM on issues and improvements
