Job summary

Eden Senior Care in Wisconsin is seeking a part-time Housekeeping/Laundry Aide for Friendly Village Nursing and Rehab. You will clean resident rooms, hallways, dining areas and common spaces to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff.

This role requires attention to detail, good communication, infection control awareness, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends. Training is provided, and you’ll join a team dedicated to residents' well-being.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms and other areas of the facility.
• Safely mixes and uses cleaning solutions and stores in a secure area.
• Labels and removes infectious waste bags and containers.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

As a Housekeeping/Laundry at Friendly Village Nursing and Rehab, you will play a vital role Housekeeper maintains the cleanliness of the facility for residents, visitors and staff.

Essential Functions:

• Cleans and sanitizes resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms and other areas of the facility.
• Safely mixes and uses cleaning solutions and stores in a secure area.
• Labels and removes infectious waste bags and containers.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Working Conditions

• Moves intermittently during working hours.
• Is subject to frequent interruptions and may need to reschedule cleaning activities.
• Is involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.
• Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel, and visitors.
• Communicates with housekeeping personnel and other department personnel.
• Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary, as well as in other positions as needed.
• Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions. May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
