Job summary

Emerald Healthcare at Holmes Lake Rehabilitation & Care Center is seeking a Housekeeping/Laundry Aide for a part-time, day shift temporary role. You will clean resident rooms, common areas, and launder linens while following infection control policies and safety regulations.

You’ll handle cleaning tasks, operate laundry equipment, and maintain neat storage areas, while providing courteous service to residents and staff. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Healthcare housekeeping or laundry experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to schedule.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces as assigned.
• Collect and launder linens, towels, and residents’ personal clothing.
• Fold, sort, and distribute clean laundry to proper locations.
• Label resident cloths as applicable.
• Operate laundry and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report needed repairs or maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping cart and storage areas in a clean, organized manner.
• Provide respectful and courteous service to residents and staff.

Position Type: Day Shift, Part Time - Temporary

Description

The Housekeeping and Laundry Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This role includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and laundering linens and personal clothing in accordance with facility standards, infection control policies, and safety regulations.

Housekeeping & Laundry Aide Responsibilities:

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to schedule and procedures.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces as assigned.
• Collect and launder linens, towels, and residents’ personal clothing.
• Fold, sort, and distribute clean laundry to proper locations.
• Label resident cloths as applicable.
• Operate laundry and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow proper infection control and isolation cleaning procedures.
• Use appropriate chemicals and cleaning solutions as directed.
• Report needed repairs or maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping cart and storage areas in a clean, organized manner.
• Provide respectful and courteous service to residents and staff

Qualification:
