Job summary

Emerald Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping/Laundry Aide to maintain a clean, safe environment across the facility. You will clean resident rooms, common areas, and launder linens in line with infection control policies and safety regulations.

Responsibilities include operating cleaning and laundry equipment safely, following schedules, and providing courteous service to residents and staff. Must be flexible with hours and committed to resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred, especially in healthcare.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to schedule and procedures.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces.
• Collect and launder linens, towels, and residents’ clothing.
• Fold, sort, and distribute clean laundry to proper locations.
• Label resident cloths as applicable.
• Operate laundry and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow infection control and isolation cleaning procedures.
• Use appropriate chemicals and cleaning solutions as directed.
• Report needed repairs or maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping cart and storage areas in a clean, organized manner.
• Provide respectful and courteous service to residents and staff.

Description

The Housekeeping and Laundry Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This role includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and laundering linens and personal clothing in accordance with facility standards, infection control policies, and safety regulations.

Housekeeping & Laundry Aide Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to schedule and procedures.
• Dust, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces as assigned.
• Collect and launder linens, towels, and residents’ personal clothing.
