Job summary

The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa in Tucson, AZ seeks a versatile Housekeeping Houseperson to maintain guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards. You will assist the Room Attendant, handle cleaning tasks, and help ensure a welcoming, spotless environment for guests.

Ideal candidates are reliable, physically fit, able to follow simple instructions, and greet guests warmly while upholding safety and quality expectations across all hotel areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other areas.
• Abides by safety regulations when using chemicals.
• Moves and dusts furniture and equipment.
• Cleans floors using brooms, mops and scrubbing equipment.
• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes supplies.
• Report maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist Room Attendant as needed.
• Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

The Housekeeping Houseperson will perform a combination of tasks which maintain hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner, thereby contributing to a pleasant, positive guest experience.

How You’ll Shape The Experience & Future

• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Abides by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.
• Moves/arranges furniture and dusts/polishes furniture, metalwork and equipment.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.
• Collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closet.
• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes with supplies.
• Refurnishes room with supplies, towels etc. as required. Supplies cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork; washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist Room Attendant with task as needed.
• Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
