Job summary

Royal Plaza, Inc. in Marlborough, MA is seeking a hands-on Houseperson to support housekeeping by delivering items, assisting with room upkeep, and maintaining public areas.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, flexible scheduling including mornings, weekends and holidays, and clear written notes to management to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Housekeepers as required.
• Deliver requested items to guest rooms.
• Report damage or missing items to Housekeeping Manager or Maintenance.
• Perform Houseman duties including trash, mopping and vacuuming.
• Support other hotel areas such as laundry and public spaces as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of hotel parking, public areas, restrooms and meeting rooms.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assists Housekeepers as required
• Delivering requested items to guest rooms
• Reports any damage or missing items to Housekeeping Manager or Maintenance
• Houseman duties including trash, mopping and vacuuming
• Assist in other areas of the hotel as needed such as collecting/delivering dirty linen to laundry, assisting with laundry or housekeeping as needed sweeping/mopping common guest areas, keeping stairwells clean, and shampooing carpets and hallways when needed
• Maintain cleanliness of the hotel parking lot, hotel public areas, restrooms and meeting rooms
• Assist in other departments/areas of the hotel as needed

Experience:

• It requires the ability to lift up to 50 Lbs.
• Must have good guest service and communication skills
• Complete written communication in order to keep management informed.
• Flexible scheduling requiring availability of morning, afternoon, weekends and holidays
