Job Summary:

As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will clean rooms, remove trash, make beds, and install amenities. Also, you will clean public areas and corridors. This position's starting wage is $15.

Essential Functions:

  1. Develops and maintains a Service Culture that ensures the delivery of Superior internal/external guest service by all team members.
  2. Stocks maid cart with linen, terry, and amenities.
  3. Removes trash and debris from rooms.
  4. Cleans tubs, toilets, and floors.
  5. Wipes down vanities and cleans mirrors.
  6. Sanitizes restrooms and sprays air freshener in bedroom areas.
  7. Strips beds and removes terry and linens from room.
  8. Makes bed and straightens furniture.
  9. Dusts furniture and TVs.
  10. Checks light bulbs and replaces burnt-out ones.
  11. Programs clock radios and TVs when necessary.
  12. Helps in laundry and housekeeping department when necessary.
  13. Vacuums carpets and hallways.
  14. Mixes cleaning chemicals.
  15. Places valet laundry bag and dry-cleaning slips in room.
  16. Turns in lost and found items to manager.
  17. Writes work orders for maintenance items in need of repair.
  18. Ensures department adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures.
  19. Will be able to work varied shifts – i.e. days, nights, weekends, holidays.
  20. Knowledge of all promotions and events.
  21. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. High School graduate or equivalent.
  2. Excellent customer service skills.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Strong administrative, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  5. Ability to lead, influence others, and coach for success.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations.
  2. Respond to visual and aural cues.
  3. Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  4. Able to work flexible shifts.
  5. Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
  6. Able to be confined to a small area for a long period of time.
