Job Description

It is the primary responsibility of the Floor Supervisor Housekeeping to provide excellent customer service and create a safe and friendly environment for employees and guests by overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned floors and ensuring the overall cleanliness of property rooms. All duties are to be performed per federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and Company policies, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve guest complaints promptly and creatively solve problems with the ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve potential difficulties.
• Meet the demands of a fast‑paced environment by using good judgment and the ability to multitask.
• Promote and maintain the highest level of customer service to all guests while staying alert to their needs.
• Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of guests and limit requests for information about guests following hotel policies.
• Complete all duties following property standards and procedures and adhere to all company policies and legal requirements regarding the safety, health, and welfare of guests, employees, and the property.
• Inspect guest rooms completely and thoroughly for cleanliness.
• Enter or call all statuses of guest rooms work orders, carpets, damages, etc.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel information to answer guest inquiries.
• Maintain records including repairs needed, lost‑and‑found items, and quality of work completed by employees.
• Complete daily worksheets accurately and in a timely manner.
• Submit all required daily paperwork (including key sheets, task sheets, productivity, evaluations, etc.) to the appropriate Management team, using technology as needed.
• Maintain all departmental assets, including equipment repairs and maintenance, and ensure all departmental areas (FOH & BOH) are kept clean and organized.
• Utilize performance feedback, recognition, and training, and adhere to company policies and legal requirements while maintaining knowledge of all duties.
• Supervise assigned floors and ensure all rooms, hallways, and other areas are cleaned to property standards.
• Supervise Housekeeping employees to ensure they are alert to all duties and adhere to Housekeeping policies and procedures.
• Instruct employees and new hires on the products used for cleaning following OSHA chemical Right‑to‑Know standards.
• Perform other job‑related duties as requested.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of relevant hotel experience.

Preferred

• Two (2) years of previous experience in a similar supervisory or management role working in a similar resort setting.
• Previous experience managing employees using a Culinary Bargaining Agreement.
