Job summary

Loews Hotels & Co at Universal Orlando is seeking an organized Dispatcher, Housekeeping to serve as the communication hub for our housekeeping team. You will coordinate requests, manage room status updates, and keep the team connected so guests enjoys a clean, welcoming environment.

You’ll stay calm under pressure, ensuring accuracy and timely task completion. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, clear communicators, and problem solvers who work well in a team and understand the guest

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or relevant industry required.
  • Previous experience with dispatching, scheduling, or team coordination preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn property management system (PMS) required.
  • Familiarity with Opera and HOTSOS is preferred.
  • Must complete OSHA-mandated safety training within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Position requires the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written, with team members, leaders, and guests.
  • Position requires flexibility to work a varied schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as scheduled.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and radio communications to facilitate clear and timely communication between housekeeping and other departments.
  • Dispatch tasks and requests to appropriate team members, ensuring guest needs and room statuses are addressed promptly.
  • Track and update room status, maintaining accurate logs to inform the Front Office and other departments.
  • Monitor room assignments throughout the day and coordinate with the Front Desk to ensure rooms are ready for check-in.
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, reconciling daily reports, and maintaining smooth communication within the department.
  • Attend departmental meetings and provide coverage in related areas when necessary.
  • Be familiar with hotel facilities and assist guests with accurate information.
  • Maintain professional and friendly guest relations, offering assistance and ensuring satisfaction.

  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
  • Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications Include
