Job summary

Richmond Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Staten Island, NY is seeking a Director of Housekeeping to lead the Housekeeping & Laundry departments, ensure top cleanliness and safety, and coordinate staff schedules.

You will supervise personnel, manage daily operations, monitor equipment, participate in staff training, and uphold quality, cost controls, and guest/resident satisfaction in a 372-bed facility.

Qualifications

• Must have prior housekeeping management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Course in institutional housekeeping management preferred.
• Strong work ethic, initiative for quality & customer service.
• Excellent written & oral communication and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of budgeting and profit & loss concepts.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Strong stress management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual guidance & motivation to employees.
• Assign equipment to staff; monitor daily equipment use, cleaning & maintenance.
• Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times.

Requirements
