Overview:

National janitorial cleaning company is seeking reliable individuals to provide commercial cleaning services in shopping malls and major retail department stores. The work environment is pleasant and drug-free. EOE. A background check is required. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation, and be willing to work weekends.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Work as part of the housekeeping team under the direction of a Site Manager, performing cleaning tasks in shopping malls or department stores. Tasks may be performed independently or as part of a team, often before or after mall/store hours.
2. Clean entrances, restrooms, various floor surfaces, food courts, and break rooms. Tasks include dusting, wiping, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and operating cleaning machinery. May operate a diesel-fired hot water pressure washer for sidewalk and entrance cleaning, following all safety protocols.
3. During mall/store hours, patrol the premises to identify and clean spills or hazards, wipe down furniture and glass, scrape gum, and perform touch-up cleaning. Porters may clean and reset food court tables and chairs, and handle trash and cardboard disposal using appropriate machinery.
4. Use cleaning chemicals and equipment such as mops, vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers, and pressure washers to perform assigned tasks.
5. Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned.
