Job summary

Kohler Co. in Kohler, WI seeks a Housekeeping Coordinator to uphold the highest housekeeping standards across venues including The American Club, Carriage House, Inn on Woodlake, Riverbend and cabins.

You will lead a positive team, ensure timely execution, and address guest needs in the absence of senior staff. This full-time role features weekday and weekend hours (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm) and a benefits package.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma is required.
  • Two year associate degree preferred or in progress.
  • Experience in leadership or supervisory role in housekeeping or hotel setting.
  • Scheduling and hotel knowledge essential.
  • Candidate must speak, write, and understand English.
  • Computer skills essential: Outlook, Word, Excel and Property Management System.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee housekeeping to Kohler luxury standards for each property.
  • Supervise and train team; handle payroll approvals when needed.
  • Monitor visual appearance of all properties and guest spaces.
  • Address guest issues in the absence of senior staff.
  • Participate in operational meetings and property updates.
  • Develop SOPs to drive consistency and training across staff.

Opportunity

Opportunity

To maintain the highest housekeeping standards established for each lodging venue within Hospitality. Supervise as an engaged positive leader, with timely execution and graciousness. Responsible for cleanliness of guest rooms, public space in compliance with approved standards.

Specific Responsibilities
Hotel Functions
  • Assist in meeting and/or exceeding the requirements set by Kohler luxury standards for each property; The American Club, Carriage House, Inn on Woodlake, Riverbend and external Cabins.
  • Complete end of the month inventories, reporting and replenishment of supplies.
  • Monitor visual appearance of all properties.
  • Handle guest related issues in the absence of Assistant Executive Housekeeper or
  • Executive Housekeeper.
  • Assist in all housekeeping operations as needed or directed by Assistant Executive
  • Housekeeper or Executive Housekeeper.
  • Participate in operation meetings as it relates to property updates.
Staff Supervision & Training
  • Hire, supervise, train, coach, recognize positive behaviors, disciplinary actions, and complete reviews of assigned team.
  • Assist Scheduling Coordinator with approval of payroll, labor transfers, late/sick/vacation requests, and scheduling when needed
  • On boarding of new associates
  • Maintain up—to—to update associate records
  • Develop SOPs to drive attention to detail, staff consistency and training across the entire housekeeping staff. Creates and manages comprehensive check lists to ensure standards are met consistently.
  • Ensure that all direct report personnel present themselves in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with hotel guests and fellow associates. This includes following
  • Hospitality dress code.
Project Management & Innovation
  • Product/Service Innovation: Submit service concept recommendations and/or product innovations to the Executive Housekeeper, which would affect direct report staff efficiency, hotel appearance and/or service.
  • Project Management: Alert and assist the Assistant Executive Housekeeper and/or
  • Executive Housekeeper in project identification and follow-through.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute soft goods enhancements such as replacement of lamps, coffee cups or hairdryers in room.
Miscellaneous
  • Adhere to and enforce uniform and grooming standards as assigned by venue.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all guests and general hotel information.
  • Comply with hotel Lost and Found policy.
  • Stand in a Lead Room Attendant, Room Valet or Office Attendant on 1st and/or 2nd shift.
  • Ability to learn multi-property operations as it relates to being the Manager on Duty 2nd shift from 430-10pm.
  • Participate in weekly leadership meeting, including the ownership of small assignments.
  • Assist with engagement related initiatives in the department.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
Supervisory Relationships
  • The Housekeeping Coordinator reports directly to the Assistant Executive Housekeeper. The coordinator will also have a functional relationship with the Executive Housekeeper and Front Desk staff.
Organization Relationships
  • The Housekeeping Coordinator must communicate effectively with all internal teams within each respective venue including but not limited to Guest Services, Food & Beverage, and Meetings & Events.
  • The Housekeeping Coordinator must maintain a functional relationship with vendors and other external customers/guests.

This is a full-time position working weekdays and weekends. Hours vary between 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The hourly range for this position is $23.45 - $35.15. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.
