The Hampton Inn & Suites Albany Airport in Latham, NY is looking for detail‑oriented and bright individuals who are outgoing, customer‑service focused and have a positive outlook to work in our housekeeping department as a Housekeeper.

Housekeeper Responsibilities

• Perform essential housekeeping functions while meeting Hilton Brand & Matrix hospitality standards.
• Lift up to 50 pounds frequently and push up to 100 pounds.
• Complete all pre‑cleaning duties, including guest supplies, cleaning supplies and linen for housekeeping cart set‑up.
• Use both hands to change bed linens, scrub pots, and perform other tasks.
• Reach overhead to dust, clean tops of equipment/appliances, and place items in cupboards.
• Move light furniture (chairs, tables, etc.) to clean under items.
• Climb and descend stairs frequently throughout the shift.
• Bend over, stoop, and work on knees to scrub commodes, tubs, clean tiles, and put away items.
• Practice safe use of all cleaning agents and follow Matrix & Brand safety practices such as wearing PPE and reading chemical warning labels.
• Keep all hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat, and vacuumed.
• Report missing items from rooms (e.g., irons, boards, hairdryers) to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Use two‑way radios, telephones, office equipment, industrial washer, dryer, irons, vacuum, floor buffer, wet vac, and other housekeeping equipment.
• Ensure proper care of housekeeping equipment and facilities and report all maintenance as needed.
• Perform other duties as required. Ability to work various shifts, days, and hours is required.

Laundry Attendant Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store laundry items according to established standards and guidelines.
• Operate commercial‑grade washing and drying machines efficiently and safely.
• Identify and apply appropriate stain removal techniques to maintain quality of linens and uniforms.
• Maintain an organized inventory of linens, towels, and other laundry items to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Inspect laundered items for cleanliness and perform quality checks to meet established standards.
• Regularly clean and maintain laundry equipment and report any malfunctions or damages promptly.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures, including handling and storing cleaning chemicals.
• Keep accurate records of the number of items processed, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams for seamless coordination and communication.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests by addressing laundry‑related inquiries and requests.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous housekeeping, laundry, houseman, or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proper I‑9 documentation to be considered for the positions.
• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Previous hotel experience preferred, but not required.
• Part‑time employment.

Compensation and Shift

Salary: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour

Shift: 8‑hour day shift (morning); 8 hours per week.

Location & Work Type

Work Location: In person, Latham, NY 12110. Ability to commute required; relocation required before starting work.
