Job Summary

Performs a full range of housekeeping services at Navy Gateway Inn and Suites or Navy Lodge, including cleaning guest rooms, public spaces, storage areas, laundry rooms, exterior spaces, and more. Responsibilities include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, washing, moving items, polishing, debris removal, trash disposal, linen and towel handling, and using cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms and assigned areas, operate cleaning equipment, and perform detailed cleaning tasks such as dusting, polishing, disinfecting, and window cleaning.
• Change light bulbs, move furniture, clean under and behind furniture, and perform deep cleaning as scheduled or upon guest checkout.
• Ensure amenities are stocked, linens are changed, mattresses inspected, and beds repositioned as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors, stairways, laundry, patios, and balconies, including carpet shampooing and rug cleaning.
• Assist with exterior space cleaning and loading/unloading supplies.
• Handle keys responsibly, report unusual circumstances, and assist with breakfast setup and cleanup if required.
• Complete safety and security training, maintain a clean and safe environment, and perform minor repairs or report major issues.
• Perform laundry operations and may need to hold a valid driver’s license for travel between facilities.

Qualifications

No prior experience required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Physical effort includes moving furniture and using cleaning equipment.
