Job summary

Grand Living at The Grove in Austin, TX seeks a Housekeeping Attendant to keep all areas of the community neat, orderly and welcoming for residents and guests. The role reports to the Director of Environmental Services and follows Grand Living standards for service and cleanliness.

The position offers on-site work with Full-Time (Sunday - Thursday, 8am - 4:30pm) and Part-Time (Sunday - Wednesday, 8am - 4:30pm) options, plus a comprehensive benefits package and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently to communicate with Residents and staff.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and push/pull carts up to 50 pounds.

About the Position

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for enhancing the overall Resident experience by ensuring all areas of the community are neat, orderly, and welcoming for guests. The attention to detail and cleanliness of the community is paramount in delivering on the level of service Grand Living promises to its residents and their family members. The Housekeeping Assistant is to model The Sterling Touch® friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner, resulting in a very high level of Resident satisfaction while providing housekeeping services and upkeep of all common areas and resident apartments. The Housekeeping Assistant position is under the general guidance of the Director of Environmental Services in accordance with Community standards, processes, procedures, practices, and philosophies.

Qualifications and Requirements

The Housekeeping Assistant must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language sufficiently to communicate with Residents, guests and fellow employees; to explain and record Resident requests, comprehend work requests, differentiate individual linen use and care, product labels, Community communications.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms overhead to perform cleaning tasks, and work in narrow and confined spaces.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds and push or pull carts weighing up to 50 pounds.
