Job summary

HI USA in Boston is hiring Seasonal Housekeeping Team Members for full-time hours. You will prepare guest rooms and shared spaces to meet cleanliness standards, ensuring a welcoming stay for travelers from around the world.

The role requires flexibility across shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., including weekends. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred, and the compensation is $18.85 per hour with seasonal full-time status.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in hostel or hotel setting is a plus.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare guest rooms, dormitories, and shared spaces to meet cleanliness standards.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms including sinks, toilets, and showers.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the hostel.
• Complete laundry tasks and restock linens.
• Replace bed linens, towels, and other items as needed.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including washing dishes and utensils.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces in common areas and guest rooms.
• Remove trash and recycling daily.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to management.
• Help monitor and restock housekeeping supplies.

We’re currently hiringSeasonal Housekeeping Team Members to support daily operations and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the property. This is afull-time, seasonal position and requires flexibility in scheduling, including varied shifts, shift times between6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., and weekend availability.

What You’ll Do:

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or hostel setting preferred (6+ months)
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Customer service experience is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

This role requires regular standing, walking, and use of hands and arms. Occasional climbing or balancing may be required. The ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is necessary. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level.
