Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking a hands-on Housekeeping Assistant Supervisor to lead by example in maintaining guest room cleanliness and service standards. You will coordinate with multiple departments to ensure guest satisfaction while training new staff and supporting operational routines.

The role requires flexible scheduling, a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, and strong communication skills to keep front desk and maintenance aligned with room readiness and brand

Responsibilities

• Perform basic housekeeping duties: change sheets, towels, restock supplies, vacuum, dust, clean and arrange rooms.
• Assist with guest check-out readiness and deliver linens to laundry.
• Inspect rooms and public spaces daily to ensure brand and IHM standards are met.
• Train new housekeeping staff to meet service standards and understand the guest service guarantee.
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs and notify supervisors of damages or disturbances.
• Monitor consumables and restock housekeeping carts as needed.
• Communicate with maintenance and front desk teams regarding room status and requests.

Description

We are looking to add a hands-on Housekeeping Assistant Supervisor to our team. Being a successful Housekeeping Supervisor takes a blend of custodial knowledge and management capabilities. You must take personal accountability for the cleanliness of each guest room and set a good example for your team. Excellent communication skills are essential to being successful in this role as you will be working with multiple departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging the room after
• guests check out
• Deliver linens to the laundry department
• Inspect rooms and public spaces daily to ensure all rooms are cared for according to brand and IHM standards
• Train new housekeeping staff to ensure they know all components/features of our guest service guarantee and are trained to meet service standards
• Ongoing involvement in preventative maintenance programs
• Check stocking levels of all consumables and replaces on housekeeping cart when needed
• Notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and/or disturbances
• Communicate with maintenance team regarding any maintenance requests reported by housekeeping team members
• Communicate with front desk team regarding rooms that are ready for new arrivals to check-in
