Job summary

Mount Carmel in Columbus, OH, is seeking a part-time Housekeeping Assistant to support patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, laboratories, bathrooms, waiting areas, exam rooms, offices and other areas with standard Environmental Services procedures.

Responsibilities include performing cleaning per established schedules, dusting all surfaces, sanitizing furniture and patient contact points, and spot cleaning walls and windows to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Reading, basic math and writing skills required.
• Must comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions and understand English language.
• Effective communication skills.

The Housekeeping Assistant Provides daily cleaning and supplying of Patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, laboratories, bathrooms, waiting areas, exam rooms, offices, departments and all other areas assigned using appropriate chemicals within standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department.
