Job summary

Sylvan Shores Health and Wellness is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. The role covers cleaning in apartments and common areas, maintaining hygiene standards, and collaborating with the care team to meet residents' needs.

This full-time position requires reliable English communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a healthcare team.

Qualifications

• One year of healthcare housekeeping experience required.
• Able to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Must be able to speak and understand English to communicate with supervisors and residents.

Responsibilities

• Clean bathrooms and common areas in apartments and facilities.
• Vacuum carpets, mop tile floors, and spot clean walls/windows.
• Dust furniture, empty trash, and clean baseboards and HVAC vents.
• Honor residents' requests within allotted time and assist with activity room setups.
• Report pertinent information to management regarding residents' well-being.
• Perform additional housekeeping tasks as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Clean all bathrooms, including counters, mirrors, sinks, lavatories and fixtures in apartment and common areas
• Vacuum carpeted areas and mop tile floors
• Spot clean walls and windows
• Dust furniture and empty trash cans
• Clean baseboards, pictures, lights and HVAC Vents>
• Honor any additional housekeeping request made by the residents during the allotted time
• Assist with picking up trash
• Assist with activity room set-ups, will require movement of furniture
• Report any pertinent information to management directly related to the well-being of the resident
• Perform any additional housekeeping tasks as necessary

Qualifications

• At least one year of housekeeping experience required in Healthcare
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English
• Must be able to speak and understand English in order to communicate with supervisors and residents
