Job summary

Paramount Care Centers is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean and sanitary environment within the facility, supporting resident care and well-being. The role ensures that housekeeping services are provided across all departments in collaboration with department heads.

The Housekeeping Aide will follow established cleaning procedures, monitor supplies, maintain equipment, and assist with room changes as needed to uphold a comfortable, odor-free, hygienic environment for residents and staff

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Follows specific cleaning and service instructions as outlined by the Director of Environmental Services.
• Follows cleaning procedures in a safe manner.
• Completes all assignments scheduled in each unit.
• Gives an assigned unit the attention needed to provide a sanitary, odor free, orderly environment for all concerns.
• Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs.
• Maintains equipment in good working condition and returns it to proper location after use.
• Assists with room changes, as needed.
• Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights.
• Performs other duties as requested.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housekeeping Aide insures that the facility is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition at all times to provide for care and welfare of the residents in a healthful environment. In addition, he/she insures that good housekeeping services are performed in every department of the facility and are planned in cooperation with the department head.

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/ VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.

JOB SKILLS:

• Good physical condition.
• Working knowledge of standard materials.
• Knowledge of techniques and equipment used in cleaning activities.
• Knowledge of cleaning materials and reasons for their use.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to positively interact with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the outside public.
• Provide annual verification of negative TB skin test.

PERFORMS RELATED DUTIES:

• Interacts with residents, families, visitors and employees.
• Carries out other tasks as requested in situations where hands-on intervention/participation may be required.
