Job summary

Best Care Services seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for residents. The Housekeeping Aide will follow established procedures to ensure odor-free, orderly spaces across all facility units, coordinating with department heads as needed.

The role supports resident welfare through reliable cleaning, safe equipment use, and timely completion of assignments; flexible full-time or part-time shifts and per diem are available to fit staff needs.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions precisely.
• Good physical condition required.

Responsibilities

• Follow cleaning and service instructions from Environmental Services Director.
• Maintain sanitary, odor-free environment in each unit.
• Check stock and notify supervisor of supply needs.
• Operate and return equipment properly after use.
• Assist with room changes as needed.
• Provide compassionate care in interaction with residents and families.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Position Summary

The Housekeeping Aide insures that the facility is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition at all times to provide for care and welfare of the residents in a healthful environment. In addition, he/she insures that good housekeeping services are performed in every department of the facility and are planned in cooperation with the department head.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

1. Follows specific cleaning and service instructions as outlined by the Director of Environmental Services
2. Follows cleaning procedures in a safe manner
3. Completes all assignments scheduled in each unit
4. Gives an assigned unit the attention needed to provide a sanitary, odor free, orderly environment for all concerns
5. Checks stock and notifies supervisor of supply needs
6. Maintains equipment in good working condition and returns it to proper location after use
7. Assists with room changes, as needed
8. Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights
9. Performs other duties as requested

Specific Education / Vocational Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent is preferred
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language

• Knowledge of cleaning materials and reasons for their use
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
