Job summary

AristaCare Health Services is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to support daily cleaning tasks in a long-term care setting. You will follow established schedules, coordinate with nursing staff, and maintain resident rooms in a clean and safe condition.

The role requires attention to detail and good communication, with a preference for candidates who have experience in long-term nursing facilities. Competitive benefits and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience as a Housekeeping Aide or in a related field.
• Experience in a Long-term Nursing Facility preferred.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow cleaning schedules as closely as practical.
• Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor.
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services during routine cleaning in resident areas.
• Perform resident room cleaning and discharge cleaning including dusting, sanitizing, disinfecting, wiping, and scrubbing beds, walls, furniture, and fixtures.
• Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet paper and other supplies as needed.
• Keep housekeeping carts stocked.
• Follow daily project assignments.
• Be flexible with schedules.

Job description

The primary purpose of your job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, and/or the Director of Housekeeping, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

• Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
• Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor they may be. (NOTE: Such occurrences must be reported on the shift in which they occur.)
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
• Performs resident room cleaning and discharge cleaning including dusting, sanitizing, disinfecting, wiping, and scrubbing beds, walls, furniture, and fixtures.
