Job summary

AristaCare Health Services is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper in Linden, NJ to perform day-to-day housekeeping in accordance with facility standards, ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

This role follows cleaning schedules, reports all accidents, coordinates with nursing for routine cleaning in living and recreational areas, cleans resident rooms, replenishes supplies, stocks carts, and supports daily projects with flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Follow cleaning schedules as closely as practical.
• Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor on the shift.
• Coordinate daily housekeeping with nursing for routine cleaning in resident areas.
• Perform resident room cleaning and discharge cleaning, including dusting, sanitizing, disinfecting, wiping and scrubbing surfaces.
• Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet paper and other supplies as needed.
• Keep housekeeping carts stocked.
• Follow daily project assignments.
• Be flexible with schedules.

Job description

The primary purpose of your job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, and/or the Director of Housekeeping, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

Requirements

• Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
• Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor they may be. (NOTE: Such occurrences must be reported on the shift in which they occur.)
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
• Performs resident room cleaning and discharge cleaning including dusting, sanitizing, disinfecting, wiping, and scrubbing beds, walls, furniture, and fixtures
• Replenishes soap, paper towels, toilet paper and other supplies as needed
• Keeps housekeeping carts stocked
• Follows daily project assignments.
• Flexibility with schedules.
