Job summary

Aristacare-Health-Service in New Jersey is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to perform day-to-day cleaning tasks in accordance with facility standards. You will follow schedules, assist with resident areas, and coordinate with nursing staff to maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

The role requires at least 6 months of experience in housekeeping or related field, preferably in a Long-term Nursing Facility; strong communication and flexibility with shifts are important.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience as a Housekeeping Aide or in a related field.
• Experience in a Long-term Nursing Facility preferred.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.
• Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor they may be. (NOTE: Such occurrences must be reported on the shift in which they occur.)
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
• Performs resident room cleaning and discharge cleaning including dusting, sanitizing, disinfecting, wiping, and scrubbing beds, walls, furniture, and fixtures.
• Replenishes soap, paper towels, toilet paper and other supplies as needed.
• Keeps housekeeping carts stocked.
• Follows daily project assignments.
• Flexibility with schedules.

The primary purpose of your job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, and/or the Director of Housekeeping, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
