Job summary

AristaCare At Cedar Oaks in New Jersey is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents in a long-term care facility in South Plainfield. You will follow daily cleaning schedules, report incidents, and coordinate with nursing staff.

The role requires good communication and at least 6 months of related experience; long-term care experience is preferred and will help ensure a high standard of cleanliness and resident comfort.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience as a Housekeeping Aide or in a related field.
• Experience in a Long-term Nursing Facility preferred.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow cleaning schedules as closely as practical.
• Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor, even minor ones.
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services during routine cleaning.
• Perform resident room cleaning, dusting, sanitizing, disinfecting, wiping and scrubbing beds, walls, furniture, and fixtures.
• Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet paper and other supplies as needed.
• Keep housekeeping carts stocked.
• Follow daily project assignments.
• Maintain flexibility with schedules.

Job description

The primary purpose of your job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, and/or the Director of Housekeeping, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

Shift: 7-3, And every other weekend

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical.

• Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor they may be. (NOTE: Such occurrences must be reported on the shift in which they occur.)

• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.

• Performs resident room cleaning and discharge cleaning including dusting, sanitizing, disinfecting, wiping, and scrubbing beds, walls, furniture, and fixtures

• Replenishes soap, paper towels, toilet paper and other supplies as needed

• Keeps housekeeping carts stocked

• Follows daily project assignments.

• Flexibility with schedules.

Requirements:

• Atleast 6 months of experience as a Housekeeping Aide or in a related field

• Experience in a Long-term Nursing Facility preferred

• Good communication skills
