Job summary

Mount Holly Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking a Housekeeping Aide for a per-diem position. Daily pay is available at a rate of $15.92 to $17.50 per hour, all inclusive.

A clean, safe, and welcoming environment is essential to resident well-being. Responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and supporting infection control practices while maintaining supply storage and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per housekeeping standards, safety guidelines, and infection control practices.
• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, and nursing stations.
• Maintain utility and storage rooms in order.
• Disinfect and sanitize equipment, furnishings, and supplies.
• Dust furniture and clean walls, ceilings, and surfaces.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas.
• Stock housekeeping carts and securely store chemicals when not in use.
• Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with team to maintain high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities for Housekeeping Aide:

• Perform all assigned duties in accordance with established housekeeping standards, safety guidelines, and infection control practices.

• Clean assigned areas, including but not limited to resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, nursing stations, handrails, dining rooms, shower rooms, public restrooms, and offices.

• Maintain utility and storage rooms in a clean, organized, and orderly condition.

• Disinfect and sanitize equipment, furnishings, and supplies according to established procedures.

• Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.

• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces as assigned.

• Clean the inside of the resident room windows, door panels, and window sills.

• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste materials to designated disposal areas.

• Maintain housekeeping carts in a clean, organized manner, stocking necessary supplies at the end of each shift, and ensuring that chemicals not in use remain securely stored.

• Follow all established safety precautions and manufacturer guidelines when handling and using cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply needs to appropriate personnel.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas of the facility maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and appearance.

Qualifications for Housekeeping Aide:

• Ability to follow established safety precautions and manufacturer instructions when using cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment.

• Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
