Job summary

Mount Holly Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking an Activities Aide for per-diem positions with immediate start. The role supports residents through planning, coordinating, and delivering engaging recreation programs, while assisting in resident care goals and events.

The position requires English fluency, a minimum high school diploma, and at least 18 years old, with preferred 1 year experience in an Activities Department, plus a commitment to ongoing education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year in an Activities Department preferred.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work tactfully with residents, families and staff.
• Commitment to continuing education and in-service training.

Responsibilities

• Document daily participation of residents in scheduled programs.
• Promote residents' social, physical, and intellectual well-being.
• Assist in planning and implementing recreation programs.
• Participate in community marketing events as needed.
• Assist with resident care goals within the care team.
• Communicate residents' mood or involvement to the team.
• Complete administrative duties: audits, forms, reports.
• Set up, decorate and break down for events; transport residents.

Per-Diem positions available!

Same Day Pay available!

$15.92/hr.-$22.00 (All Inclusive)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Document daily participation of residents in scheduled programs

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual well-being of our residents.

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing the recreation programs of the facility.

• Participate in community marketing events as needed

• Assist with and follow through on the establishment of resident care goals within the framework of the entire team.

• Communicate the residents' mood, behavior, or degree of involvement to the appropriate team members.

• Perform administrative requirements as needed, such as audits, forms, and reports.

• Help set up, break down, and decorate for resident and facility events.

• Assist and transport residents to and from daily scheduled activities

Experience & Education:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.

• As a minimum, one (1) year experience in an Activities Department in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related medical facility is preferred.

Specific Requirements:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.

• Must have patience, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.

• Must participate in continuing education and Inservice training.
