Job summary

Hyatt Vacation Ownership is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to deliver clean, comfortable spaces and outstanding guest experiences at our Hyatt Vacation Club properties. The role offers an hourly wage and a friendly, inclusive team environment in Escondido, CA.

As a member of the housekeeping team, you will help maintain guest rooms and public areas, respond to guest needs, and support daily operations with a focus on safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Available to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends.
• Background and drug screening may be required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Responds promptly to guest requests and coordinates with other departments.
• Delivers guest requests and arranges furniture items in guest rooms as requested.
• Identifies and reports maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
• Strips trash and dirty linen from assigned checkouts.
• Ensures inventory of pillows, duvet inserts, and toppers is correct in rooms/villas.
• Cleans and maintains assigned buildings/areas daily.
• Operates heavy cleaning equipment such as floor polishers and carpet extractors.
• Stocks linen closets daily with linens and supplies.

As a Housekeeping Aide, a Typical Day Will Include

• Responds promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
• Delivers guest requests and sets up furniture items in guest rooms as requested.
• Identifies and reports preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
• Strip trash/dirty linen from assigned checkouts.
• Ensure correct inventory of pillows, duvet inserts, and toppers remain in the rooms/villas.
• Cleans and maintains assigned buildings/areas daily.
• Uses heavy cleaning equipment such as floor polishers, carpet extractors, etc.
• Stocks linen closets in assigned areas daily with linen and supplies.

To Become a Housekeeping Aide At HVC

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
• Lift/Carry/Push/Pull Items that Weigh up to 50lbs without assistance.
• Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
