Job summary

Interim HealthCare Staffing in Duluth, MN is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to help create safe, clean environments for patients and residents. We offer flexible scheduling, full-time and part-time options, and comprehensive benefits.

You will perform routine housekeeping, follow infection control procedures, and work alongside healthcare professionals to support comfort and cleanliness across facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in housekeeping, healthcare, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning procedures and infection-control standards.
• Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, sanitary, and safe environments for patients, residents, staff, and visitors in healthcare settings.
• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, offices, and other areas.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties: dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal.
• Follow infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures when cleaning and disinfecting areas.
• Replenish supplies and report maintenance or safety concerns to staff.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain a welcoming environment.

What You'll Do as a Housekeeping Aide:

• Maintain clean, sanitary, and safe environments for patients, residents, staff, and visitors in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, and other healthcare settings.

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, offices, and other assigned areas.

• Perform routine housekeeping duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and removing trash.

• Follow proper infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures when cleaning and disinfecting assigned areas.

• Replenish supplies and report maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to the appropriate staff.

• Work alongside healthcare professionals and facility staff to help maintain a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients and residents.

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, or commercial cleaning experience preferred, but not required

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning and infection-control procedures

• Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

• Strong communication skills and a positive, service-oriented mindset

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform physical housekeeping duties throughout the shift

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
