Job summary

Chestnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab is seeking dedicated Housekeeping Aides to join our facility. Available Hours: 7am-3pm with weekend requirement. Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare is a plus and high standards of cleanliness are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping and cleaning in a healthcare environment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• The housekeeper is the focal point of our environmental service staff. He/she is responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of the facility on a daily basis.
• Must be able to perform the necessary duties in the daily routine cleaning of resident rooms
• Must be able to perform the necessary duties for the monly carbolization cleaning of residents rooms
• Follow all safety procedures, infection control policies, and universal precautions to ensure the health and welfare of residents, staff and visitors
• Follow proper procedures for stocking housekeeping carts and closets
• All housekeepers must report to work in assigned uniform as deemed by the facility
• All housekeepers must report problems, concerns and maintenance issues to the supervisor
• All housekeepers must act in a courteous, professional, and appropriate manner at all times
