Job summary

Harmony Gardens Assisted Living in Columbus is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents across apartments, common areas, and offices. You will follow standard cleaning protocols and assist with turnover tasks as needed.

Ideal candidates bring prior housekeeping experience, knowledge of cleaning chemicals and infection control, and a caring approach to older adults.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Housekeeper or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and infection control practices.
• Experience working with older adults.
• Certification in housekeeping or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors and surfaces
• Empty trash and replace liners
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces according to facility procedures
• Maintain housekeeping carts, supplies, and equipment
• Report any maintenance, safety, or repair concerns to management
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures
• Respond courteously to resident requests and concerns
• Assist with apartment turnovers and move-in preparations

Housekeeping Aide

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for performing routine cleaning and sanitizing duties throughout the community, including resident apartments, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and other designated spaces. You will also help maintain housekeeping carts, supplies, and equipment, and report any maintenance, safety, or repair concerns promptly.
