Job summary

Harmony Gardens Assisted Living is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents. You will clean resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas, while following infection control procedures and reporting any maintenance needs to management.

The role supports turnover tasks, maintains carts and supplies, and emphasizes responsive service to residents and teamwork within a caring community.

Qualifications

• Experience as a housekeeper or similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and infection control practices.
• Experience working with older adults preferred.
• Certification in housekeeping or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors and surfaces
• Empty trash and replace liners
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces according to facility procedures
• Maintain housekeeping carts, supplies, and equipment
• Report any maintenance, safety, or repair concerns to management
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures
• Respond courteously to resident requests and concerns
• Assist with apartment turnovers and move-in preparations

Housekeeping Aide

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for performing routine cleaning and sanitizing duties throughout the community, including resident apartments, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and other designated spaces. You will also help maintain housekeeping carts, supplies, and equipment, and report any maintenance, safety, or repair concerns promptly.
