Job summary

Chandler Park Assisted Living in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to maintain a safe, sanitary, and homelike environment for residents, staff and visitors. You will clean resident apartments, bathrooms and common areas daily, and follow facility policies and state and federal regulations.

This role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to work independently with confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, time-management and computer skills.
• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
• Understand and uphold the policies and procedures established by TCSL.
• Work independently, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and be a positive leader.
• Demonstrate practical interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills.
• Maintain good working relationships with residents and co-workers.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds and bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach and sit for long periods.
• Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas daily and according to community policy while maintaining resident privacy and respecting their property
• Keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly
• Post signs indicating a safety hazard any time housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards to staff, residents, visitors, or others
• Use personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure to blood or other potentially hazardous body fluids in accordance with facility policies and procedures
• Comply with all safety instructions and procedures when using chemicals, referring to labels and Material Safety Data Sheets for instructions
• Keep all chemicals and cleaning supplies in their original containers, ask supervisor if unsure about usage
• Monitor the workplace for safety and fire hazards and correct or report potential problem
• Report housekeeping and maintenance problems, including equipment breakdowns, to the supervisor
• Secure housekeeping supplies so that residents are unable to access

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide (HA) that provides cleaning services to ensure a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and others. Housekeeping services must follow facility policies and procedures and are consistent with state and federal laws and regulations.
