Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and maintain offices, hallways, conference rooms, breakrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, and other designated areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors and other surfaces throughout the facility.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, sinks, toilets, fixtures, and other high-touch surfaces.
• Clean and maintain breakrooms, including tables, countertops, sinks, appliances, and other designated areas.
• Replenish restroom and housekeeping supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other necessary materials.
• Maintain cleanliness in designated areas of the manufacturing floor as assigned.
• Assist with cleaning around entrances, walkways, and other common areas.
• Dust, wipe down, and sanitize furniture, fixtures, doors, windows, and other surfaces as needed.
• Respond to spills and other housekeeping needs in a timely manner.
• Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Follow all chemical handling, labeling, PPE, and safety requirements.
• Report unsafe conditions, maintenance concerns, leaks, damaged equipment, or other facility issues to management.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of housekeeping supplies and communicate when replenishment is needed.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and checklists.
• Assist with special cleaning projects, facility events, and other housekeeping needs as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working in offices or areas containing company information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all Nelson Global safety policies, procedures, and work rules.
• Properly wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment according to manufacturer instructions and company procedures.
• Immediately report spills, hazards, injuries, or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain clean and unobstructed walkways and work areas.
• Participate in required safety training.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Ability to perform routine cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to safely operate basic cleaning equipment and tools.
• Ability to maintain a professional and respectful demeanor around employees, visitors, and customers.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, commercial cleaning, or a similar role preferred.

Preferred:

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
