Job summary

Sofidel America is seeking a Plant Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe manufacturing environment and support production operations. The role includes operating cleaning equipment, waste removal, and ensuring GMP/HACCP compliance.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, experience in industrial housekeeping or related fields, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in industrial housekeeping, manufacturing, warehouse, janitorial, or facility maintenance preferred.
• Experience operating industrial cleaning equipment and material handling equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, operating instructions, work orders, and quality documentation.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, stand, and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the manufacturing facility, warehouse, production areas, and surrounding work areas.
• Support GMP, HACCP requirements, and sanitation standards.
• Perform pre-shift inspections of cleaning equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Safely operate industrial sweepers, pallet jacks, balers, and other housekeeping equipment.
• Clean and maintain sweepers and equipment after use.
• Remove paper waste, scrap material, debris, and recyclable materials from production and warehouse areas.
• Operate small balers and assist with recycling and waste management activities.
• Maintain the exterior of the facility, including entrances, walkways, parking areas, and outdoor areas as assigned.
• Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards to supervision.
• Assist production and warehouse operations to support workflow, quality, and production schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a dependable and safety focused individual who is interested in a long term opportunity with a stable and growing organization.

The Plant Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment that supports production operations, employee safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This role performs routine housekeeping duties throughout the facility, assists with waste removal, operates industrial cleaning equipment, and helps maintain Sofidel America's high standards for cleanliness, quality, and operational excellence.
