Job summary

Sofidel America in Shelby, NC is seeking a Housekeeping team member to perform cleaning tasks throughout the plant and support GMP and HACCP requirements, ensuring a safe and sanitary work environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to read English safety manuals, lift up to 25 lbs, and clear communication with supervisors and coworkers. Evening shift hours are 7:00pm to 3:00am.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals written in English.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary and hygienically sound workplace.
• Cleans conference rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, closets, stairways and windows.
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Regularly check the trash receptacles, emptying as needed, in all areas of the site.
• Clean windows and mirrored surfaces; polish stainless steel surfaces.
• Dust fixtures, shelves, and product as needed.
• Follow and comply with all applicable safety, health and housekeeping procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
• Proven ability to build positive relationships through clear and respectful communication with supervisors, colleagues, and community members.
• Able to work evening shift hours from 7:00pm - 3:00am

Position Overview
