Job summary

Luxor Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to support our long-term care facility. The role covers cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining resident areas with attention to infection control and safety standards.

The position accepts both part-time and full-time shifts. A positive attitude, English proficiency, and physical stamina are essential, and a background check is required. Benefits are offered to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education.
• Must be able to read, speak, and write in English.
• Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred.
• Knowledge of general cleaning procedures, sanitation techniques, and infection control practices.
• Ability to work courteously and diplomatically with residents, patients, and staff.
• Must pass a thorough background check/screening.
• Must meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, bending, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping and environmental services tasks per established cleaning procedures and schedule.
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and polish furniture and surfaces.
• Disinfect floors, bathrooms, and common areas as directed.
• Perform terminal/discharge cleaning when a resident is transferred or discharged.
• Conduct spot checks of vacant rooms and sanitize as needed.
• Follow facility safety, infection control, and OSHA guidelines.
• Clean and maintain supply carts and equipment.
• Respect resident rights and report found articles to supervisor.
• Assist with inventory of resident belongings as assigned.
• Attend departmental meetings and on-the-job training as scheduled.

• Clean and maintain supply carts and housekeeping equipment
• Respect resident rights and personal property at all times; report all found articles to supervisor
• Assist with inventory of resident personal belongings as assigned
• Attend departmental meetings, in-service training, and on-the-job educational programs as scheduled
