Job summary

Saint Peters Rehab and Healthcare Center seeks a dedicated Housekeeping Aide to join our Long-Term Care facility. You will be responsible for daily cleaning, sanitation, and assisting with environmental services to ensure a safe, clean environment for residents and staff.

This role requires at least a 10th grade education and the ability to read, speak, and write in English. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred, and both part-time and full-time shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education required.
• Must be able to read, speak, and write in English.
• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services experience preferred.
• Knowledge of general cleaning procedures, sanitation techniques, and infection control practices.
• Ability to work courteously with residents, patients, and staff at all times.
• Background check/screening required.
• Able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping and environmental services tasks per established cleaning procedures and schedule.
• Clean, wash, sanitize, and polish furniture and surfaces.
• Disinfect floors, bathrooms, and common areas as directed.
• Perform terminal/discharge cleaning when a resident is transferred or discharged.
• Conduct spot checks of vacant rooms; clean and sanitize as needed.
• Follow facility safety, infection control, and OSHA guidelines.
• Clean and maintain supply carts and housekeeping equipment.
• Respect resident rights and report any found articles to supervisor.
• Assist with inventory of resident personal belongings as assigned.
• Attend departmental meetings and on-the-job training as scheduled.

Housekeeping Requirements
