Job summary

The Lodge of Northbrook is seeking a hospitality focused Housekeeping Associate to support the community with housekeeping and laundry duties. This part-time role plays a key part in maintaining clean, welcoming spaces for residents and guests.

You will work 20-25 hours per week, perform daily cleaning across common areas and guest suites, and ensure adherence to safety and infection-prevention practices. The team values reliability and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required/preferred.
• 3–6 months housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, healthcare, or senior living experience is preferred.
• Experience in senior living or healthcare setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across common areas, lobby, hallways, lounges, dining spaces, restrooms and offices.
• Clean guest suites and other designated rooms as needed.
• Perform routine dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing and trash removal.
• Handle laundry tasks including sorting, washing, drying, folding and distributing linens.
• Follow all safety guidelines and infection-prevention practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Lodge of Northbrook is recruiting for a hospitality focused Housekeeping Associate to join our team! This position is responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry functions throughout the community.

Starting Pay: $17.50/hour

Hours: Part-time 20-25 hours/week

Daily Responsibilities

• Consistently uphold Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and organization.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties throughout common areas, including lobbies, hallways, lounges, dining areas, restrooms, activity spaces, offices, and other designated areas.
• Clean and maintain guest suites and other designated rooms as needed.
• Perform routine dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and trash removal.
• Perform laundry functions, including collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and other designated items.
• Follow all Community policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and infection-prevention practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred/required.
• Three to six months of experience in housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, healthcare, senior living, or a related environment preferred.
• Previous experience working in a senior living or healthcare setting is a plus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established cleaning procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as effectively as part of a team.
