Job summary

The Lodge of Northbrook is seeking a hospitality-focused Housekeeping Associate to join our team. This role performs housekeeping and laundry throughout the community and upholds high standards of cleanliness.

Starting pay is $17.50/hour with part-time hours (20-25 hours/week). Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 3-6 months of related experience; experience in senior living or healthcare is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Three to six months of housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, healthcare, senior living, or related experience preferred.
• Experience in senior living or healthcare setting a plus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and cleaning procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Uphold cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and organization standards in community areas.
• Perform daily housekeeping in lobbies, hallways, lounges, dining areas, restrooms, and other spaces.
• Clean and maintain guest suites and designated rooms.
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, sanitize, and remove trash.
• Perform laundry functions: sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens.
• Follow community policies, safety guidelines, and infection-prevention practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

The Lodge of Northbrook is recruiting for a hospitality focused Housekeeping Associate to join our team! This position is responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry functions throughout the community.

Starting Pay: $17.50/hour

Hours: Part-time 20-25 hours/week

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Housekeeper:

• Consistently uphold Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and organization.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties throughout common areas, including lobbies, hallways, lounges, dining areas, restrooms, activity spaces, offices, and other designated areas.
• Clean and maintain guest suites and other designated rooms as needed.
• Perform routine dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and trash removal.
• Perform laundry functions, including collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and other designated items.
• Follow all Community policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and infection-prevention practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred/required.
• Three to six months of experience in housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, healthcare, senior living, or a related environment preferred.
• Previous experience working in a senior living or healthcare setting is a plus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established cleaning procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as effectively as part of a team.
