The Housekeeping position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the hospital. Housekeeping Techs help protect patients, visitors, and staff by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, treatment areas, public spaces, restrooms, and other areas according to hospital procedures and infection prevention standards.
Ability to notice areas that need additional cleaning and ensure spaces meet hospital cleanliness standards. Arrives on time, works the scheduled shift, and completes assigned duties. Works well with Housekeeping team members and other hospital departments. Understands that Housekeeping Techs work around patients and families who may be sick, upset, or under stress. Able to communicate respectfully with patients, visitors, and staff. Understands the importance of following cleaning, chemical, infection prevention, and safety procedures. Able to adjust to changing priorities and cleaning needs throughout the shift. Able to follow assignments and complete work without constant supervision.
