Hawaiian Building Maintenance is looking for a dependable Custodial/Housekeeping team member in Honolulu to keep the lobby, restrooms, offices, and shared spaces sparkling, safe, and welcoming for guests.

Qualificações

• High school diploma preferred; training provided for new hires.
• Ability to follow English instructions both verbal and written.
• Experience in janitorial or custodian roles preferred.
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Capable of working in various weather conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain cleanliness in lobby, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Stand and walk throughout 40-hour shift; lift and push boxes as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and report maintenance needs.
• Interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Operate cleaning equipment and dispose of trash.

Position: Custodial/Housekeeping

Employment Job Type: Full-time

Number of Hours: 40-hour work week.

Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Days off: Monday and Tuesday)

Hourly Pay Rate: $18.00

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to stand and walk for extended period throughout the work shift.
• Willingness to work all weather conditions
• Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as: Ground floor, lobby front desk, vending area corridors, lounges kitchen/dining area, laundry room, utility rooms, elevators, restrooms, offices, stairwells, ramps, benches, planters, sidewalks, landscape areas around the building perimeter, bicycle shed, landing areas, janitorial closets, and driveway/parking lot.
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Communicate effectively and comprehend English
• Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum for indoor cleaning, and use a handheld leaf blower for outdoor areas
• Clean restrooms and restock supplies
• Disinfect frequently touched surfaces
• Collect and dispose of trash in designated areas
• Lift trash from bins, bend, and navigate staircases
• Push trash bins as needed
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisor.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by your H.B.M. supervisor.

Skills/Qualifications

• Must pass HBM prescreen check
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous janitorial or custodian experience is preferred; we are willing to train.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong public relations and communication skills
• Applicants should be capable of performing basic manual labor, cleaning common areas, and frequently lifting, pushing, pressing, pulling, and carrying a minimum of 30 lbs. (up to 50 lbs.).
• Applicants must also be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk up and down stairs, use elevators, climb ladders, and stand throughout their shifts.
